The Borgomanero gym moves to the park: “Tragic situation, let us go again”

If it’s not possible to come to the gym to train or exercise, why not move outside to a lawn? The idea comes from the owner of a gym in Borgomanero, Gianluca Tosi, who this morning – 5 March – will try the experiment: gather in the green area near the premises of via Cadorna the enthusiasts of equipment, who in these months of pandemic do not they were able to practice their hobby.

«I thought of inviting all those who want it to a free trial; obviously – says Tosi – we will do some exercises without machines because they are a bit heavy to move, but there will be everything you need to have fun. We will put on the lawn all the various tools for functional circuits and the assistance of qualified personnel ».

Tosi underlines that everything will take place in the sign of the most rigorous respect for the rules. “Masks absolutely compulsory for everyone, and there will be no problems for spacing, because the green area is very large and therefore allows you to do every possible exercise at a safe distance from others, a distance much greater than that provided for by the decrees”. The idea of moving outdoors was born after a difficult period for gyms: «Our problem is there for all to see. We have practically no contributions while the management and rental costs of the premises must be paid. Personally I am lucky enough not to have a very large gym and therefore the rent is not high, but I know many colleagues who are in great difficulty. We would need sports such as gyms to be recognized as a very useful tool for health, because it allows you to stay active and fit. However, there was no such recognition and the category is experiencing a particularly difficult situation. I thought that the gym could be organized in a different way, even fun, since I am lucky enough to have a large lawn next to it. But the hope of the operators is to be able to reopen ».
