The border guards of Uzbekistan detained a Kyrgyz citizen who accidentally crossed the state border. He was returned to his homeland – Vesti.kg

Having gone for cattle, he did not notice how he ended up on the territory of a neighboring state

The border guards of the Ala-Buka border detachment returned to Kyrgyzstan a citizen who had previously been detained by the Uzbek State Security Service. This was reported in the press center of the State Committee for National Security.

It is indicated that on April 10, Baibolot Baynaev, a resident of the village of Kok-Tash, Ala-Buka district, addressed the head of the Orto-Suu border outpost of the Ala-Buka border detachment. He stated that his son Baibolot uulu Munarbek, born in 1997, went to fetch horses that were grazing in the Sary-Kol area and did not return.

The search for Baibolot uulu Munarbek on the territory of Kyrgyzstan did not give positive results.

In order to clarify the information, the border representative for the Ala-Buka section held talks with Uzbek colleagues, who confirmed that the citizen was detained by the Uzbek border detachment near the border post of the Republic of Uzbekistan for violating the regime of the state border.

It was established that Baibolot uulu Munarbek, having gone in search of horses, accidentally crossed the state border line and ended up on the territory of Uzbekistan.

“Yesterday, April 12, during a meeting of border representatives of the two countries, a citizen was handed over to the Kyrgyz side,” the report says.
