The book contains notes and lyrics of the 50 most popular songs by Imants Kalniņš
Riga, August 5, LETA. Celebrating the 80th anniversary of Imants Kalniņš, the publishing house “MicRec” has released a music book with notes and lyrics of the 50 most popular composers in the Latvian popular music songbook series at the beginning of the summer.
As LETA was informed by the publishing house, the edition has now been supplemented with a CD, which includes instrumental accompaniments of the 15 most popular songs, produced by musician and songwriter Artūrs Palkevičs.
The CD that accompanies the book includes instrumental accompaniments of songs such as “Blue Bird”, “Sand Bucket”, “Lily Song”, “Bagpipe”, “Eternal Milky Way Over Your Head”, “Wrap Your Hands”, “Holiday”, “They Danced One “Song of Giordano Bruno”, “Cloud and Cloud”, “Princess and Troubadour”, “In the City where the wind is born”, “Wind and linden” and “Song with which you will start”.
Sheet music prepared by Rūdolfs Bērtiņš. The design of the book was created by Guntars Ošenieks, a photo by Mikola Gniskuja was used for the cover design.
The publishing house “MicRec” pointed out that this is already the 19th note book in the series “Most Popular Songs”. The band’s “But bet” 60 song book will be released next week, marking the band’s 30th anniversary.
