The Book Fair in San Luis 2023which had heritage and cultural diversity as its axis, managed to bring together writers and academics from four Argentine provinces from March 16 to 18 and attract 40,000 visitors, within a framework of federalism that stood out from official spheres.
During the three days, authors from Mendoza, San Juan Catamarca, La Pampa, La Rioja and San Luis spoke and presented books, as part of an agenda that included plays, a literary café and guided tours for school students.
The Fair had more than 50 stands of independent publishers, bookstores and popular libraries that met in all sectors of the San Luis Cinema Theater.
Within the framework of the fair, the writer Claudia Piñeiro presented her latest novel “The time of the flies”, the journalist Mariana Carbajal spoke on “Rights: advances and challenges in women’s struggles”, and Luisa Calcumil added her presence as author and playwright when reading one of the texts that make up her latest book “Popular-Ethnic Theatre”.
