The twenty-third edition of the Gijn Textbook Exchange Program, organized by Progressive Students and COAPA with the support of the Gijn City Council, will begin this Monday, maintaining the changes introduced last summer in its operation to adapt to the health situation by covid-19.
The Espaciu Astragal del Conseyu de Moced (Avenida de la Constitucin, 45) will once again host this new edition in which the appointment system will be maintained through WhatsApp used last summer, as well as the use of a computer tool that will allow register the books and send all the information to each participant to their email. In this way, it is intended to continue complying with the health prevention measures for covid-19, avoiding the concentration of people and eliminating the use of paper.
This first phase of the Program will last until the end of the month and in it the textbooks used during the school year that have just ended (2020-2021) will be collected. The hours of attention to families and students will be from Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., but it will be essential to request an appointment through WhatsApp at the number 684 645 812 that has been enabled since yesterday.
The Textbook Exchange Program counts for another year with the collaboration of the Council of Moced de Xixn and the Council of the Moced of the Principle d’Asturies. In addition, for the second consecutive year, the initiative will be funded by the State Confederation of Student Associations (CANAE) through a grant from the Youth Institute (INJUVE).
