The Boissel Foundation is building a new social center in Grenoble

On a single site, this new 3,300 m2 will bring together three existing establishments: Solidarité Femmes Milena, Graine d’Insertion and the Integrated Reception and Orientation Service (SIAO) of Isère.

Combine three establishments

This building will thus bring together collective apartments which will include common premises and 25 studios, for one or two people. A family pension, with 16 accommodation units as well as two emergency accommodation, will be intended for the reception of people with a low level of resources, in a situation of isolation or severe exclusion and whose social situation and psychological makes it impossible for them to access ordinary housing. Part of the building will be exclusively dedicated to women, in particular those victims of violence. This place was imagined “like a protective cocoon” by the architects Jean-Yves Guibourdenche and Eric Maillé of the Arcane agency.

This € 7.6 million project is funded by the Boissel Foundation, Grenoble Alpes Métropole, the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, and the State.

Multidisciplinary institution recognized as being of public utility, the Georges Boissel Foundation specializes in the fields of mental health, psychological disability and support for people in difficulty of social integration. The foundation currently has seven specialized establishments.
