The Official State Gazette (BOE) publishes this Friday the order that includes the agreement of the Interterritorial Council of the National system of health that limits mobility between autonomous communities on the occasion of the festival of San José and Holy Week.
The agreement, advanced by Cadena SER, includes mobility limitations between the autonomous communities of the Peninsula at Easter, as well as in the autonomous communities in which the day of San José is a holiday.
The order states:
- Perimeter closure from March 17 to 21 at the San José bridge and in the seven regions in which it is a holiday on March 19 (Valencian Community, Euskadi, Navarra, Murcia, Madrid, Galicia and Extremadura).
- Perimeter closure from March 26 to April 9 throughout the national territory in Easter.
Madrid does not want to abide by the closure
The Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid, Enrique Ruíz Escudero, has already announced that this region will not abide by this perimeter control, although the Government insists that the measures adopted are mandatory.
The perimeter closure at regional level It will not apply to the autonomous communities of the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands.
Curfew and limit to meetings
As for the curfew, the right of night mobility is limited at most from 11:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m., although the communities can agree on a more restrictive schedule.
The permanence of groups of a maximum of four people in closed public spaces and six in open, except in the case of cohabitants who may meet in private spaces.
Flight restrictions with the UK, Brazil and South Africa
The BOE also publishes that Spain has extended the restrictions on direct flights with the UK, Brazil and South Africa to try to limit the spread and contagion of new variants of the coronavirus.
According to the order, which has been extended five times and will be in force until 6:00 p.m. on March 16, the limitations for passenger ships between the United Kingdom and Spanish ports are also maintained.
The agreement establishes that flights with the United Kingdom, with or without intermediate stops, may only be carried out in the case of aircraft that carry exclusively Spanish or Andorran nationals, or residents of both places. The same exception will apply to passenger ships that provide regular line service between ports in the United Kingdom and Spain.
On the other hand, the limitations of flights, with or without intermediate stops, between Brazil and South Africa and Spain are maintained until 6:00 p.m. on March 16, so that they can only be carried out in the case of aircraft. that transport exclusively Spanish or Andorran, or passengers in international transit to a non-Schengen country with a stopover of less than 24 hours without leaving the transit area of the Spanish airport.
In any case, the Ministry of Health may lift, in general, these limitations before the end of said period, depending on the evolution of the pandemic and especially on the decisions that may be adopted in a coordinated manner in the European Union.
