KOMPAS.com – Five days after undergoing the Covid-19 vaccination, the Company Commander at Battalion A Brimob Polda Maluku, Iptu LT complained of shortness of breath and died.
The officer then checked his body by doing a swab test.
The results of the examination, it turned out that Iptu LT was tested positive for Covid-19 infection.
Had the AstraZeneca vaccination
Together with other police officers, LT was injected AstraZeneca vaccine at the Maluku Regional Police Ceremony Field in the Tantui area.
Prior to being vaccinated, Iptu LT had undergone screening health. The doctor also interviewed the policeman’s health condition.
The day after vaccination or on March 31, 2021, Iptu LT admitted that he was cheerful.
“So on the 30th yesterday the victim participated in the vaccination, the next day the 31st the victim experienced a fever,” said Roem.

This condition made Iptu LT and his wife go to the hospital.
When they checked themselves, the medical staff stated that Iptu LT had no disease.
At that time, officers gave him medicine. Iptu LT’s condition got better after taking the drug.
“When checked, there was no disease, then the victim was given medication. After that the victim drank and recovered as usual,” said Roem.
However, about five days later, Iptu LT complained of shortness of breath.

After being taken to the hospital, it turned out that LT had passed away.
According to his wife’s explanation, LT was short of breath.
“Indeed, he had shortness of breath last night at 12 o’clock and this morning his wife saw that her husband was lying on the sofa, then he was taken to the hospital, but he was dead,” he said.

After he died, the officers conducted a swab test on Iptu LT’s corpse.
“The deceased turned out to be positive for Covid-19, the examination (swab) was carried out earlier after the victim died and the results came out positive,” Roem told Kompas.com, Sunday (4/4/2021) afternoon.
However, Roem did not know where LT got the virus from.
Roem previously emphasized that LT’s death was not due to vaccines.
“What is clear is that we cannot say that this is due to vaccines,” he said.
