The City Council allocates 846,000 euros to the budget for its operation
Villena, January 5, 2021.- The Board of Trustees of the Conservatory and the Villena Music Band has approved the budget for 2021, which amounts to 1.25 million euros, as explained today by the mayor of Culture, Elena Benítez. This year’s accounts are configured for the maintenance and operation of the Villena Professional Music Conservatory in its educational and training functions, as well as for the Villena Municipal Music Band.
The contribution of the City Council of Villena this year is repeated with respect to the previous year, which exceeds 846,000 euros, conditioned by some regulatory issues that have to do with the increase in Chapter I established by the state administration.
“However, the games are very even to those of last year, with a contribution for the Music Band of almost 10,000 euros for its operation, which we hope will have more travel as the pandemic situation is overcome and can complete its programming normally ”, commented the Councilor for Culture.
The Councilor for Culture highlighted the “economic effort made by Villena to support a high-level musical study and training center such as the Conservatory, very important due to the great musical tradition of our city and the high level of music professionals it generates. ”.
