The BMW iX will initially be offered in two variants, the xDrive40 and xDrive50. The weaker model offers an electric power of 326 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in six seconds. According to the WLTP methodology, the car will travel more than 400 kilometers per charge on a single charge, and the range can be increased by 90 kilometers in 20 minutes on the quick charger.

The more powerful 50 engine will offer 503 horsepower and a range of over 600 kilometers, with the battery being able to charge with an output of up to 200 kW, which will provide an additional 120 kilometers in 10 minutes. From 10 to 80% of the capacity, drivers on the quick charger can get to it in about 40 minutes according to the results of BMW testing.

The price of cars on the Czech market will be above the limit of two million crowns. The carmaker let it be heard that the weaker version of the iX xDrive40 will start at similar values as the combustion SUV X5 in the xDrive40d version, ie with a six-cylinder diesel engine with mildhybrid technology.

Electric SUVs should start selling in the Czech Republic for 2,067,000 crowns, ie 60 thousand more than his combustion colleague costs. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 in 5.5 seconds and offers 340 horsepower.

The xDrive50 version will start in the Czech Republic at a price 2,480,400 crowns, ie slightly below the level of petrol X5 M50i, which costs about 40 thousand more. The petrol variant has only 27 horsepower more and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds.

It is interesting to note that a similarly large SUV X5 can be purchased for 2,028,000 as a plug-in hybrid in the xDrive45e version with 394 horses under the hood.

BMW considers the new iX to be an electric flagship and an idea of what purely electric models from the German carmaker should look like in the future. The vehicle already aroused a great wave of emotion during the performance thanks to its unique design and the technologies used.

For the price mentioned above, it will offer, in addition to a decent range and high performance, a number of technological innovations. In the interior, customers will meet, for example, the recently introduced eighth generation iDrive infotainment, which offers two connected displays and an artificial intelligence system that can work with navigation or communicate with the driver.

The novelty will also offer the largest sunroof that can be found in BMW cars or an optional audio system with 30 speakers. The car will arrive on the Czech market at the end of 2021.
