The well-known BMW car modification, which is now owned by the carmaker, arrives with its own version of the premium flagship SUV BMW Alpina XB7.

Shortly after the premiere of the modernized BMW X7, Alpina, now part of BMW, introduces its own version of the modernized flagship SUV. The design is still controversial, but the performance is more than impressive.
The most significant change in the modernized BMW Alpina XB7 took place in the front area, which, following the example of the BMW X7, received split headlights. Their lower main segment is darkened again and, following the example of the M Sport package, elegantly follows the dark side decor of the front bumper.

There is also a distinctive radiator grille, which is backlit again. In the lower part of the front bumper, we can see slightly modified decors around the intake opening and there is also the Alpina inscription. On the side we see a thin line called the modifier, while in the underbody there is a special combination of wheels and tires.
Unfortunately, the driver published only one single image of the car, capturing its front port, which also acts only as a graphic. It is therefore a question of what stage the upgraded version of the BMW Alpina XB7 is actually at.

Under the hood of the car should be hidden a 4.4-liter V8 engine with twin-turbo turbocharging, which is complemented by mild-hybrid assistance and also received completely new gutters, contributing to better turbocharger response and more interesting sound.
The engine is tuned to 457 kW (621 hp) and 800 Nm of torque, which is a relatively significant increase compared to the standard BMW X7 with a V8 engine, which offers the highest output of 390 kW. The BMW Alpina XB7 thus promises acceleration to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of up to 290 km / h.
The chassis is equipped with air suspension and specifically tuned shock absorbers as standard. When driving at speeds below 30 km / h, the chassis automatically raises so that the driver can overcome light obstacles more easily. On the contrary, when driving at higher speeds, the chassis gets closer to the ground due to better aerodynamics.

As we have already mentioned, the underbody has a specially selected combination of discs and tires, starting with 21 “Alpina Dynamic cast discs with run-flat high-performance tires. However, customers can choose up to 23 ”Alpina Classic discs, fitted with Pirelli tires.
The XB7’s cab takes on a new layout from the upgraded BMW X7, which means above all a new infotainment system with the BMW OS8 operating system. In addition, however, Alpina also offers its own premium upholstery. The new BMW Alpina XB7 should appear on European markets around December this year, and its price should start at EUR 170,500, which is approximately CZK 4,163,000.
