The blues-rockers dream has come true. Tedeschi Trucks Band is heading to Prague

Guitarist Derek Trucks played with Erik Clapton and the Allman Brothers before starting his own band with his wife Susan Tedeschi. The twelve-member ensemble has two drummers, two guitars, a wind section and a number of singers.

They do not play traditional blues, but rather rock with an overlap into soul, funky and jazz. It is an explosive mixture that radiates tremendous energy, joy of life and an unprecedented instrumental mastery.

Their concerts also excel in their relentless desire for improvisation. Long dramatic guitar solos, hammonds and sharp breath riffs are reminiscent of the best of the 1960s, including the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Erik Clapton with a taste of funk Mandrill or James Brown.

Za debut Grammy

They received a Grammy Award (Best Blues Album) for their first album Revelator, and have received the Blues Music Awards several times. They also released the studio albums Signs (2019), High & Mighty EP (2019), Let Me Get By (2016), Made Up Mind (2013) and most recently the double double album Layla Revisited (Live At LOCKN ‘) with guest guitarist Trey Anastasia. It was a live performance of the classic album by the band Derek and the Dominos.

“It will be the biggest concert blues event of the season and the dream of many fans of this music. Tedeschi Trucks Band is the most common name that visitors to our events want. We have been trying for them for several years, it is a huge success, “said Petr Pošvic and Radim Svatoň from the organizing Liver Music agency.

The concert for the session will take place in the Karlín Forum in Prague, tickets are on sale in the Ticketmaster network from 29 November.
