The Toronto Blue Jays have announced that bullpen coach Matt Buschmann has elected to leave the team.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Queen City organization said the 38-year-old was looking for “new professional opportunities”.
The Jays also said they will announce their coaching staff for the 2023 season in the coming weeks.
Buschmann had been a member of the Blue Jays since the 2018 campaign, serving as director of pitching development until 2020. The St. Louis native had previously worked as a gunner. He played numerous minor league seasons and played three major league games, playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2016.
