Despite the mobilization of donors in July, the level of blood reserves is still too low. In summer, often synonymous with availability, the French Blood Establishment (EFS), with the complicity of the Ploemeur blood donors association, offers a new blood drive, Ninnoch room, Thursday August 4, from 8 a.m. 30 to 1 p.m.
“Recover reserves”
“The blood reserves remain too fragile. It is important to restore reserves and maintain them at a sustainable level in order to spend the summer peacefully and to be able to meet the needs of patients and patients who cannot do without blood products, recalls the EFS. Every day, in France, 10,000 blood donations are needed to respond to this; this figure rises to 600 in Brittany”.
Practice
To make an appointment, even at the last minute, on dondesang.efs.sante.fr or the Don de sang app. To donate blood, you must be between 18 and 70 years old and weigh at least 50 kg, have no flu symptoms and bring proof of identity.
