News from 11/16/2021

At a blood donation appointment set up in a birch honey dinner, there was a nasty surprise recently. Everything had already been prepared in the gym. Then the shock: Unfortunately, donations cannot be made today, which District Administrator Dr. As a blood donation doctor, Peter Enders was not exactly pleased.

Sebastian Schuh (front) was the first donor in the Friesenhagen gymnasium, Michael Reuber has already donated half a liter of his ?? life juice ?? ten times free of charge. made available. Birch honey dinner / Friesenhagen. The team from the DRK blood donation service in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland was just about to start work. Everything had been prepared by the local DRK readiness. But then the blood donation appointment in the Birken-Honigsessener gym was canceled.

The reason: it was simply too cold in the hall, which makes it impossible to properly handle blood as a raw material. As a consequence, those willing to donate had to be sent back home. Particularly annoying: they had targeted local clubs and had success with it. The volunteers were really disappointed. Now those responsible are hoping that those rejected in this way will make the next donation date. By the way, before the move to the gym, donations were made to the nearby elementary school. This worked for a long time, but at some point it was no longer possible.

The DRK blood donation service has now apologized to those willing to donate in a birch honey dinner. Immediately after the canceled appointment, Daniel Hoffmann went to Friesenhagen as a public relations officer. There he met some donors who, despite all adversities, were aware of their responsibility, had found their way from the Birkener Heights to the Wildenburger Land that same evening and donated blood in Friesenhagen. A total of 66 (out of a planned 50) willing donors then appeared in the local gym, including two first-time donors. According to Daniel Hoffmann, they are currently below the planned donation level.

In the district of Altenkirchen there were 1.6 percent more donations in September, but already 15.2 percent fewer donations in October. The speaker suspects, for example, the wave of colds plus the infection rate as the reason. A doctor explains it like this: ?? Hygiene rules have been observed for a long time. As a result, the body gets less non-harmful bacteria and so on. Therefore, our immune system has less to do, in other words, it does not have to defend itself so strongly against viruses and so on. If a cold virus then comes by, it’s easy for him. ?? (bt)

Here are the next donation dates:

Tuesday, November 16, in Niederfischbach; Thursday, November 18, in Gebhardshain and Friday, November 26, in Hamm (Sieg).
