On both sides, high-pitched shots were once again exchanged inside the Parliament by Pavlos Polakis and Adonis Georgiadis during today’s session.
Mr. Polakis spoke for the first time as an independent member of parliament and referring to his colleague Adoni Georgiadis, he said: “when you cannot dispute the substance, then you set up provocations for style. The lady is not here today (s.s. the employee of the Ministry of Health). What he did was not the first time. I have made a remark to her in the past. He did it the day before yesterday, laughing when I was talking about the Filiatron health center. I told her what I said and the episode ended and then backfired with time delay crying obviously staged and hypocritical.’
Mr. Polakis also attacked the Speaker of the Parliament, Kostas Tassoulas. “The President called me a vulgar attention seeker. I come from a place that respects women. I grew up with women, teachers. My whole family has many educated people the majority have university degrees. I don’t tolerate anyone calling me a vulgar attention seeker. I demand from the Speaker of the Parliament after the admission of Mrs. Petroulias that she does not have a health problem – that is where the provocation was set up that I attacked a stroke sufferer who could not defend herself – to apologise,” he said.
He also unleashed “fire” on Athina Linou for her reaction to his indecent behavior, speaking of “a cry… of a time delay, clearly hypocritical, clearly staged”.
For his part, the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, responded to Pavlos Polakis, calling the independent MP a “coward”.
“Mr. Polakis told us that he is standing here. Interesting. Except he wasn’t supposed to be here. He should be in Evelpidon to defend himself against the lawsuit brought against him by Mrs. Arabatzi. Polakis told us that he loves women and that he is an uncompromising fighter against entanglement. Listen now. Mrs. Arabatzi sued him for defamation. His immunity came and in the first court he declared sick, then that his lawyer has covid and then in the 3rd he changed his lawyer and that the new one had not had time to be informed” he said and emphasized: “This is the uncompromising fighter of corruption, who honors against the others women and Crete. Regarding the attack on his colleague, he said that “since yesterday, Mr. Polakis has been asking us to apologize because my colleague did not have a health problem. I don’t understand, our obligation to treat partners with respect depends on whether they have a health problem? The reason Mr. Kasselakis deleted even half of you was that with your behavior you made 2 people cry. Everyone understood what they would pull if they had you as an employer. Everyone hates you because what you did to Petrolia you did to your workers. That’s who you’ve always been. A coward. This is what Mr. Kasselakis judged and he kindly deleted you because SYRIZA is supposed to be fighting for the rights of workers. Leave the health issues out. You bullied a female worker and didn’t apologize.”
