The Blokker family puts 69.5 million in loss-making interior chain CASA | NOW

Store chain CASA receives an investment of 69.5 million euros from the Blokker family, which owns the interior stores. The amount should dampen the loss of recent years, writes the Belgian business magazine The time Wednesday.

CASA has been losing for five years. The debts of the chain rose to 110 million euros in 2018, which is almost double the amount of 58 million euros in 2017. Whether it went better in 2019 is not yet known. The broken financial year ends on January 24.

A spokesperson leaves on The time know that the investment of millions must make the company healthier and give suppliers more confidence.

The originally Belgian chain is active in eight countries and has a total of 505 stores. Nearly forty locations can be found in the Netherlands. CASA came to the Netherlands in 2018, where the company took over a large number of Xenos branches in order to convert them to its own formula. The chain’s head office is in Olen, Belgium.
