Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus declared the operation blocking in order prohibition on returning to one’s home area Eid ends, Friday (14/5) tonight.
Furthermore, said Yusri, the police will prepare security in the context of the Lebaran reverse flow.
“The homecoming blocking operation ended tonight at several points on the toll road as well as those heading out of Jakarta,” Yusri told reporters, Friday (14/5).
In addition, said Yusri, the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) flyover heading for Cikampek will also start opening tonight.
It is known that the flyover was closed since May 6 in order to control transportation in order to limit the movement of traffic flow in and out of Jabotabek.
“The flyover from KM 10, the MBZ elevated toll road, will start to open tonight, which leads to Cikampek,” said Yusri.
Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said the inspection operation for backflow would begin on Sunday (16/5).
“The homecoming operation is over, moving to the side dividing entry starting on Sunday,” said Sambodo.
The government officially prohibits the implementation of Lebaran 2021 homecoming in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This policy applies from 6-17 May.
As a follow-up, Polda Metro Jaya established 31 isolation points to keep out the travelers leaving the Jakarta area.
