The Blizzard of Souls Continues Fighting for Oscar in Best Original Music / Day

The US Academy of Sciences has announced live nominees in this category, where original music from films such as director Spike Lee’s war drama will compete for the victory. The sound director of the film is Alexander Vaicahovsky.

It has already been written that at the beginning of the year, composer Ritmanis received the Hollywood Visual Media Music Award for the best music for a film in a foreign language, which was awarded for music in film Blizzard of souls. In March, the American Association of Composers and Authors awarded the best composers of 2020 in film music and the highest awards category The best original music for an independent film got Ritmanis for the music for the film Blizzard of souls.

It has already been reported that Blizzard which premiered on November 8, 2019, takes viewers to a 100-year-old past when sixteen-year-old Arthur travels with archers and fights for freedom with friends – even when no one knows which side to look for. The story allows the viewer to grow together with Arthur and the newly founded Latvian state, watching life in the trenches of the boy’s eyes, selflessly facing the enemy, searching for true love and learning to appreciate the price of freedom.
