One person was injured in an explosion and subsequent fire at a house in Roosendaal. The explosion blew up the front and rear facade, reports the security region.
The explosion occurred in a corner house on De Genestetlaan. Witnesses say against Brabant broadcasting that the house would be renovated. A fire broke out after the explosion. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control quickly, but expect to spend hours putting out the blaze and shoring up the house. The victim was treated at the scene for burns, the security region said.
What exactly happened is unclear. The cause of the explosion is also unknown. The security region is asking people to stay away and give space to aid workers.
