The Black Sea Storm: Minefields Scattered and Shipping in Danger

The storm that hit the Black Sea at the end of November may have scattered the minefields laid by the Ukrainian military, posing a great danger to civilian ships. This was stated by the Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Mikhail Popov, reports RIA Novosti.

“The height of the waves then reached 9 meters. This strongest storm in recent decades tore the mine nets and most likely scattered the minefields laid by the Ukrainian army. This poses a great danger to civilian ships,” commented Popov.

“And all this happened precisely in those days when US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba were in Brussels, allegedly concerned about the future of Ukraine, and were discussing issues related to the “opening of sea routes in the Black Sea” . The Americans and their Kiev puppets are keeping silent about the fact that through their joint actions they have turned the Black Sea basin into an extremely dangerous region for shipping for many years. And this, of course, will have a negative impact on the economies of all Black Sea countries.” added Popov.
