Africa-Press – Madagascar. Antananarivo, December 25, 7.05 pm – A good listener. In its Christmas message, the Episcopal Conference of the Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church (Ecar) of Madagascar sends a message in favor of the education of Malagasy children. “We ask all leaders of all levels and all areas to carefully consider the education of this generation”, says Mgr. Fabien Raharilamboniaina, Bishop of Morondava and President of the Episcopal Conference of Madagascar (CEM).
According to the bishops’ conference, “the education of children should not be taken lightly”. “Jesus appears as a child during this Christmas season, (…) May the birth of Jesus draw our gaze to the poorest, those who suffer and the many children who are the first wealth of Madagascar”, calls the pastoral association.
In this festive period, the conference also invites us not to ignore those who suffer and those who are disinherited. Quoting the words of Pope Francis on the occasion of Christmas, the bishops underline that “there can be no happiness or friendship without the human development of all, without justice and if weapons do not become spades to produce”.
