The FDJ therefore asked them to come to an agreement. On October 5, 2011, they succeeded: the winner paid 12 of his 163 million to the lady who had found the ticket.
But that’s not all: the tax authorities got involved, asking that the 12 million euros be taxed. Which was refused by the courts.
