Jeff Bridges has lymph node cancer, the actor said on Tuesday Twitter.
Seventy-year-old Bridges says he has good prospects for his recovery from the growth of white blood cells in his lymphatic system. “Although it is a serious disease, I feel blessed with a great team of doctors and a good prognosis.”
Bridges also says that he is grateful for the support of his family and friends. The actor starts his message with “There is new shit on the marble”, a quote from ‘The Dude’. That is the character out The Big Lebowski, the movie that made Bridges famous in 1998.
In The Big Lebowski Bridges’ character Jeffrey ‘The Dude’ Lebowski is mistaken for a millionaire of the same name. The good-for-nothing and amateur bowler is persuaded by the millionaire to free his kidnapped wife by handing over the ransom.
