Large industrial enterprises should have the right to conclude contracts for electricity supply with Kozloduy NPP and NEK by the end of 2022. This was proposed at a meeting in the Council of Ministers of CEIBG and the Bulgarian Federation of Industrial Energy Consumers. The news was announced by the chairman of CEIBG Kiril Domuschiev.
The Minister of Economy Daniela Vezieva said that the measures to support the business due to the high electricity prices will be discussed in working groups with the participation of the employers.
Energy Minister Andrei Zhivkov said there was no legal analysis yet on how these contracts would affect stock exchange trading, but it would be done. It was not clear how the prices under these contracts will be determined.
Domuschiev said that CEIBG will not join the protest on Tuesday, and will advise his colleagues not to do so.
