And yet the 16-year-old from Weine, who attends the Richard von Weizsäcker vocational college in Paderborn, has now left for the US state of Georgia with his parents Stefan and Karin Reitz to get some high school air sniff. Nico will then live there from summer on: as a student and member of the football team at the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, a small, fine private school – with a full scholarship and, if everything goes as planned, the very best prospects for his further sporting career.
