The verdict fell on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. Christian Quesada has just been sentenced to three years in prison for “corruption of a minor” and “detention and dissemination of child pornography”. The former champion of the show “Les 12 Coups de Midi” was indeed judged via videoconference … because of the containment measures brought about by the coronavirus crisis. The lawyer for the Children’s Foundation, who joined the proceedings as a civil party, regretted that this justice was done “in the dark”.
Others also take issue with the fact that the sentence imposed is far too light. This is particularly the case of Benjamin Castaldi who expressed his dissatisfaction, this Thursday, April 9, 2020, on the set of TPMP.
“It deserved much more”
“I may shock everyone, I’m sorry; first he’s already done about half of his sentence so he’s going out I think in 6 months maximum, that bothers me a lot. In this country, there are people who are condemned, for things which are certainly serious but much less serious than what he did. […] We had his criminal record which was as long as an arm. Excuse me, three years when you’re a repeat offender, for me it’s not enough, it deserved much more. So I don’t know what the circumstances are, maybe it’s special. But honestly, people at home must be shocked because this boy is a predator, he is a dangerous guy “ launched the one who is about to be a father for the fourth time. His colleagues, namely Gilles Verdez, Matthieu Delormeau and Sophie Coste judged “just” the conviction of Christian Quesada.
A bit shocked that his colleagues were so “cool”, Benjamin Castaldi rebelled again at the end of the program: “We had all the evidence, all the images of everything he has done for years, we received on Cyril’s set this person who was harassed, abused by him. […] He did not take action, but we dream! This guy has a thick file like that and you say it’s enough for three years. It will come out and you know what, it will start again, it will make a drama and we will say: ‘well here!’ “
