“The Best Years” are back with Carlo Conti

Everything is ready for the big return in prime time on Rai1 de “The best years”the variety show created and hosted by Carlo Conti and created by the Prime Time Rai Entertainment Department in collaboration with Endemol Shine Italy. Five episodes, starting from Saturday 6 April at 9.25pm ​​on Rai 1, live from the studios “Fabrizio Frizzi” Of Roma, and on Rai Italia. A unique format of its kind, “The Best Years’ aims to make the studio audience and viewers relive the emotions and most unforgettable moments of past decades, bringing back into vogue characters, songs, objects and fashions that have never been forgotten. As usual, the guest singers will give life to an evocative journey through the history of music, performing songs that have become famous over the various decades. In each episode, the artists will be the protagonists of the “Jukeboxes”, re-proposing their most memorable hits.

In the first episode, among the international artists there are a true legend of world music, Nile Rodgersfounding member of Chic and producer of the biggest stars (from Madonna a Diana Rosss, yes David Bowie ai Daft Punk), the American singer George Mccrae and the British Raymond Burnsbetter known as Captain Sensibleleader day Damned.

Among the Italian stars, however, the “divine” Patty Right e Fausto Lealiwith its vast repertoire of hits; Francesco Gabbanione of the most loved artists of recent years, who achieved success in two editions of the Sanremo staged by Carlo Conti; Amedeo Minghi, the composer and songwriter of “La vita mia”, “1950” and “Vattene amore”; it’s still, Wilma De Angelis e Syria – among the most beautiful voices of Sanremo, respectively, of the 60s and 90s – and the author and performer Valeria Rossi.

If music is fundamental, the “words” will be no less so: great interpreters of Italian entertainment (in the first episode Carlo Verdone), through the new “3 x 3”, will tell their personal hit parade of characters, songs and objects and anything else that has marked their human and artistic journey.

The words will also be the protagonists of the fun moments entrusted to Maurizio Battista, the comedian who has a very personal and hilarious look at what happened during “the best years”, to smile at the old habits imprinted in the memory, but now outdated. The objects from “The Best Years” will also be the protagonists of a fun parenthesis in the company of Giorgio Mastrota who, with his great power of persuasion, will describe them in an unusual and ironic way, returning to the golden days of teleshopping.

A “chorus” of 30 male and female dancers, wearing period clothing, will animate the hits of the various decades with their choreographies. An evolution of the format will be the space dedicated to the “Future Box”, the ‘time capsule’ in which will be inserted the characters, objects and records (33 or 45 rpm) that have marked 60 years of our history and must absolutely not be missed by future generations. The younger generations will also be actively present in the Studio: in all episodes a group of 60 girls and boys, between 18 and 24 years old, with their mobile phones, will send “live” messages to the program; it will be their comments, their impressions, and in some cases even the wonder, in front of songs, characters, objects, fashions and habits that they have never touched firsthand and know, perhaps, only through family traditions. And the most representative ones, shown on the LED walls, will also be a reason for meeting and/or discussion with the host and his guests on stage.

Furthermore, every week, via messages or, another novelty, through social media, it will be possible to interact from home to send comments on what happens on the classic “double stage” of the program, and also memories, images and videos of how they live, we remember and discover (depending on age…) the ‘best years’; without forgetting the famous “Noi che”, the program’s trademark and a sort of collective memory of Italy’s more or less recent past.
