The Drum Gun recently appeared in Chapter 5 Season 2, but the original version introduced at the end of Chapter 1 Season 4 is considered the best, except for the Midas’ Drum Gun legendary, which is one of the best legendary weapons in Fortnite. This difference is due to several factors. First, the Gun Drum’s rarity was low at first, making it popular on the battlefield at the time. Additionally, the original had a high damage per second (DPS) rate compared to later versions, and was able to easily destroy players’ structures.
The original version of the Drum Gun was a force to be reckoned with, capable of dealing massive damage to players at close range, but at the cost of a low level of accuracy at long distances. It was commonly used among the Fortnite player community as a support tool for continuous shooting, and produced a devastating effect when used with the Shotgun due to its high rate of fire and large magazine capacity. Although the Drum Gun has gone through a series of tweaks and nerfs in subsequent seasons, it has cemented its place as one of the best weapons in Fortnite history, and has been a weapon reliable in close combat.

The Pump Shotgun is one of the original weapons in the Fortnite weapon list, and first appeared in the pre-season of Chapter 1. This weapon is iconic, and was considered one of the weapons most powerful in the game in the early seasons. Although its range was limited, the Pump Shotgun was capable of dealing significant damage in close combat, and had the ability to eliminate an opponent with a single headshot. In fact, players had to hit most of the shots correctly to achieve this throw, which meant that they had to be accurate and close to their opponents.
The Pump Shotgun has seen several updates since its debut, such as damage changes and a reduction in its potential range. However, the biggest modification was the delay introduced in Season 5, which removed the ability to bypass the pumping action by holding two of this weapon and switch between them after each shot, making it one of the most powerful weapons for a while. Despite this change, the Pump Shotgun was still a powerful weapon in close combat and was very effective when used with a machine gun such as an SMG or Assault Rifle.

Of course, this list cannot be complete without mentioning the original Assault Rifle from the first chapter of Fortnite, an iconic tool that was considered the weapon of choice for many players along with the original Pump Rifle. This weapon was slow-firing and versatile, able to damage players from long distances without anticipating the target’s movement, as all weapons except snipers were fixed on “hitscan” technology at the time.
Gone are the days when players dominated their games using a Legendary Assault Rifle. The weapon was powerful, with the original version dealing around 30 points of damage for lower rarities, and up to 35 points for rares and legendaries. But that’s not all, as lucky players who manage to hit a head with the Legendary Edition can deal massive damage up to 98 points per shot, resulting in quick elimination of enemies through a series of consecutive shots. All of these factors make the assault rifle one of the best weapons in Fortnite history, and one that players are eagerly awaiting for its return.
