The Ministry of Health has initiated a vaccination against cholera. It is doing it with 85,000 doses, which is clearly very little for the population residing in the Dominican Republic.
This also does not detract from the effort to do everything possible to face a problem that affects and threatens the population. New cases appear every day and therefore it is a matter to which we must pay more attention.
However, we believe that the most effective vaccine in this situation is orientation to society to know how to take care of cholera.
Oriented people can take care of themselves and reduce cases. A campaign does not cost more than placing specialized personnel in the country’s media.
