At 8:15 p.m. on Saturday evening the time had finally come: In the semi-final of “Germany is looking for the superstar”, nine participants competed against each other in the fight for a place in the final. Also there: Thomas Gottschalk. The 70-year-old replaced Poptitan Dieter Bohlen in the live show, who had announced his participation in the last two shows due to illness after his DSDS became known.
It is unknown whether the TV viewers turned on the television that evening because of Thomas Gottschalk or because of the nine semi-finalists and their performance. What is known, however, are numerous tweets that were published in the evening under the hashtag #DSDS on the messenger service Twitter. Reason enough for a small best-of:
A real Gottschalk …
It’s best at home …
Well, there will always be doubts about Bohlen’s illness
“I probably took the wrong turn …”
Funny, other broadcasters always put these plexiglass panels between the guests …
“Great, the bet is valid”
RTL is and will remain a family channel
