Together with Jan Wehner, we will now show you a new trick every week, briefly explain where it comes from, and show you step by step in a video how to do it.
Neymar Chop
Difficulty: 2/5 ⭐️

With his theatrical style of play, the Brazilian winger arouses displeasure among some football fans, but one must not forget that he is one of the best players of our time. Such a tricky way of playing is unique and can only be observed in a few professionals.

In today’s episode, you can do one of his most popular tricks, the Neymar Chop, learn. He often uses this in one-on-one situations either to turn away and take some speed out of the game, or to make room for the perfect interface pass.

Step 1: With the sole of your strong foot, roll the ball diagonally forward onto the side of your weaker leg.

Step 2: Now, with the inside of your weak foot behind your back, tap the ball back onto the side of your strong leg.

While the defender is being pulled slightly outward by the ball roll, you can immediately pull back to the center by tapping your weaker leg and you are one step ahead of the opponent.
