The trail is a practice that is attracting more and more followers all over France. In France, one in 7 people practice running on a regular basis.

Since 2021, the Niortaise Agglomeration has created many routes to encourage its inhabitants to do a sporting activity. Fifteen courses have been designed in recent years, and three new tracks were opened very recently.

This trail station was created in partnership with the trail brand Rossignol®. The three new tracks are located at Augé, Chevreux and Sainte-Neomaye. Two tracks could open before the end of the year in the towns of Saint-Maixent-l’Ecole and Souvigné.

Tracks classified by level of difficulty

In order to allow all runners to be able to take a track adapted to their level, the routes are marked out and classified by a color code according to their level of difficulty. Several courses are also labeled disabled and are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

All the tracks represent a course of more than 220 km which criss-cross the entire department.
