Women should consider choosing the appropriate time to conceive after a cesarean delivery, because early pregnancy can pose a great risk to the health of the mother and fetus.

This was confirmed by ‘Medical News Today’, explaining that the C-section wound may need to fully heal for as little as 3 months.
For some women, the healing process after a cesarean section can take up to 6 months, so it is better not to plan a pregnancy before this period has passed.
The use of a contraceptive method, such as the contraceptive pill or the IUD, is also recommended, with the need to force the husband to wear a condom before intercourse, to ensure greater protection.

It has been shown that the longer the waiting period after a cesarean section, the higher the chances of successful natural childbirth attempt in women in the next pregnancy.
Conversely, if pregnancy occurs soon after a cesarean section, the mother is at greater risk for problems with the placenta, such as a malpositioned placenta in the fundus of the uterus.
