Before starting this year’s season, Johann Zarco he was asked which had been his best carrera up to that point, to which he replied that his best career had been that of Phillip Island in the 2017, a race in which he could not finish on the podium for a few thousandths, in his first MotoGP season.
Zarco comments that his state of mind was perfect and quite large because it could end in a Second Place, since he did not stop fighting side by side until passing the checkered flag, in this race Valentino Rossi managed to stay in second position from lap twenty-six, and just before reaching the finish line Maverick Viñales took him off the podium, for only 0.016 sec., thus leaving the French in the quarter position.
This was a race in which the French pilot started from the third position, but in the first lap he fell to seventh position, where lap by lap he managed to climb in the positions until he reached the Monday position when I complete lap eight, at the end of the new lap I managed to surpass Rossi and be the leader of the race for 5 turns, before losing the lead to Rossi again on lap fourteen.
Zarco could hope to have a Second place, since Marc Marquez I pass it when there were 6 laps to go to finish the race, and from that moment started to create an ever greater lap-by-lap distance with the platoon that was chasing him, where it was impossible to hunt him down and be able to take away the First place.
This melee battle with strong pilots is what he remembers the most, since the i enjoy until the last moment and for what becomes his best career.
