The best poetry returns to the Municipal Theater of La Bañeza thanks to the voice of Juan Carlos Mestre and the accordion of Cuco Pérez
The Stars for who works them, recital of poems by Juan Carlos Mestre accompanied by the accordion by Cuco Pérez and under the direction of Miguel Ángel Varela, tomorrow, Tuesday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m., within the programming of the Network of Theaters of Castilla y León.
The Stars for who works them is a poetic and visual show on tables that comes to our city from the hand of Juan Carlos Mestre from Bercia, who won the National Poetry Prize in 2009 for The red box and author of numerous books of poetry and essays. Mestre is a versatile artist who has collaborated and made recordings with musicians such as Amancio Prada, Luis Delgado or Hugo Westerdahl, conducting readings and performances at International Festivals in more than twenty countries. In his other facet as a plastic artist, Juan Carlos Mestre has exhibited his pictorial work in galleries in Spain, Europe, the United States and Latin America, being the recipient of several awards for his well-known engravings.
Regarding musical accompaniment, the Segovian Cuco Pérez is a respected accordionist and composer, known for being one of the first musicians to introduce the accordion to flamenco, having accompanied artists such as Joaquín Cortés, Rafael Amargo or Aída Gómez throughout the world. Throughout his musical career, Cuco Pérez has also worked regularly with groups such as Celtas Cortos, Revólver and Duncan Dhu and with artists such as Ismael Serrano, Carlos Cano, Estrella Morente or the Portuguese Dulce Pontes, having also been requested by directors of cinema like Cuerda, Amenábar, Armiñán or Berlanga.
The stars for who works them It is performed at the Municipal Theater of La Bañeza next Tuesday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m., with a duration of 60 minutes and a single entry of 8 euros.
