Palmeiras, coached by Portuguese Abel Ferreira, won the Libertadores Cup for the second time in a row, beating Flamengo in the final, by 2-1, after extra time.
In Montevideo, Raphael Veiga gave the greenback advantage after just five minutes, but Gabriel Barbosa equalized in the 72nd minute, with Deyverson giving the trophy to Palmeiras in the 95th minute.
This is the third title for Palmeiras in the main South American continental competition, equaling São Paulo, Santos and Grémio as the most titled Brazilian club in the Libertadores.
