It appeared on sale in several e-shops this week Xiaomi Mi 2K Gaming Monitor for 6000 CZK. On average, until recently, it cost almost twice as much and was typically sold in stores from eight thousand. After those six, however, it quickly disappears from the stores, but at the time of writing the article was still in stock in ElectroWorldu a Space.
The monitor from Xiaomi has a matte IPS screen with a diagonal of 27 inches and a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. The frequency is up to 165 Hz when using DisplayPort or 144 Hz with HDMI, but of course it also supports the FreeSync Premium dynamic mode, so it can synchronize with the graphics card (from 48 Hz). The response is 4 ms.
In the review at the GSMArena praises good colors, rich settings and nice design. The criticism is directed mainly at the poor HDR. However, this is terrible everywhere for cheaper monitors with low brightness (400 nits here at the peaks).
On the body of Xiaomi we find one DP 1.4, two HDMI 2.0, a two-port USB 3.0 hub and a headphone output. The supplied stand allows the monitor to be tilted, raised and also rotated vertically.
