Dr. Bahaa confirmed that the best foods to eat when suffering from influenza and cold are fruits in general, especially citrus fruits such as oranges, tangerines, and guava, because they are fruits rich in vitamin C.

He advised eating red proteins, such as meat and liver, in addition to eating a lot of potatoes, especially when they are hot, to reduce the activity of the virus.

It is also preferable to eat soup, such as orzo and vegetable soup, to reduce the activity of the virus in the body, and reduce throat pain and inflammation, in addition to consuming a lot of green tea, anise, ginger, and tea.
