If you are passionate about audiovisual, or more precisely cinema, and you live in the Basque Country, the least we can say is that you can satisfy your passion all year round. Indeed, between the Biarritz International Film Festival, Saint Jean de Luz, Fipadoc, the Biarritz Latin America Festival and the Anglet International Surf Film Festival, to name but a few, the offer is more that complete.
Close-up on the short film
If last month all eyes converged on the town of Saint Jean de Luz for its International Film Festival, this month, it is the municipality of Anglet on which we will zoom in. Indeed, from November 23 to 26, the 17th edition of the International Short Film Festival, more commonly known as Fifava, will take place. No less than 49 films will be screened there, from fiction to documentaries to animated films, all in short formats.
The 2022 edition, having had to refuse spectators for the first time, was a great success. So much so that the municipality pulled out all the stops for this year by affecting the large hall of the Quintaou Theater “ increasing the gauge for each session to 700 places! » Thus, you will be able to watch almost 10 hours of films from all over the world, « presenting a wide range of very unique words and tones, each bearing witness in its own way to a contemporary temporality… »
