The best family cars at low prices: used SUVs under €8,000

SUVs are in high demand among new and used car buyers. We have created a list of the best offers, at less than 8,000 euros.

When it comes to the car market, it’s clear that SUVs dominate in terms of sales. Most manufacturers offer such models, in different classes, shapes or engines.

I created a list of eight offers, none of which cost more than 8,000 euros. They are fairly new, accessorized cars that can meet the needs of a family both in terms of space and features.

Nissan Qashqai – 7.990 euro

The Qashqai is a crowd favorite. The Japanese SUV offers a complete package, and some even have seven seats. The one I chose is from 2012, it has a 2.0 liter diesel engine that develops 150 hp. The car has 167,000 km on it and has a few dents on various body parts, but nothing too serious. The interior is clean, among the features are automatic climate control or a reversing camera.

Volkswagen Tiguan – 7,999 euros

Another popular SUV in Europe is the Volkswagen Tiguan. The compact German SUV is appreciated by its owners for its features, but also for its practicality. I chose a first generation model with 210,000 km on board and a 2.0 liter diesel engine. The car is also equipped with automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Ford Kuga – 7,999 euros

For this list, we selected a Ford Kuga in Titanium trim. The car is from 2009, has 192,000 km and a 2.0 liter engine with 136 HP. As a top trim, the car has a leather interior, xenon headlights, navigation, automatic climate control and heated seats.

Dacia Duster – 7,990 euros

Duster remains a very popular SUV among customers in Romania and beyond. The Romanian SUV has made a name for itself in Europe and enjoys good sales figures. I selected a copy from 2011, in Prestige equipment, with 124,980 km on board. The engine is the 1.5-liter diesel, which develops 110 hp and is connected to a manual box. Power goes to all four wheels with the help of the all-wheel drive system. Being a Prestige trim, the car has leather seats, air conditioning and alloy wheels.

Hyundai ix35 – 7.890 de euro

Hyundai ended up surpassing the German brands when it comes to sales, and in Romania it enjoys a lot of success. The ix35 SUV can be a good alternative to a new Tucson. The one I found is from 2011 and has 153,497 km on it. The 1.7-litre diesel engine produces 116bhp and is mated to a manual gearbox. The car offers all the features you would need, such as dual-zone climate control, electric windows, steering wheel controls or autopilot.

Kia Sportage – 7.999 euros

Staying in the Hyundai-Kia group, we’re talking about a 2011 Sportage. Like its sibling, the Tucson, the Sportage is one of the most sought-after SUVs. The one we found has 143,292 km and a 2.0 liter diesel engine with 136 HP. The car also has an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

BMW X3 – 7,999 euros

We’ve also included some premium deals, like this BMW X3. The car is from 2010 and has 155,768 km. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter diesel engine that produces 177 hp. It is connected to an automatic gearbox and also has xDrive all-wheel drive system. The black textile interior is clean and the steering wheel is covered in leather. The cabin is ergonomic, with controls that we also see on other models from BMW.

Land Rover Freelander – 7,990 euros

It may not be the most popular car we’ve talked about, but the Land Rover Freelander encapsulates the premium aspects of the brand, but in a smaller format. I chose a 2010 model with the 2.2 liter diesel engine and 150 hp. It’s a premium SUV, and that’s reflected in the design and options. The car has leather interior, automatic gearbox, xenon headlights and comes with two sets of wheels.
