Once again this year, the biggest TV stars gathered on the red carpet to celebrate in style the evening that belonged to the Emmy Awards 2024. Among those who came to pay tribute to last year’s best series performances, Selena Gomez, Meryl Streep, Jeremy Allen White or Ayo Edebiri were not missing – of course in perfect fashion creations. The whole evening was dominated by the glamor of the classic Hollywood cut. It was not an event that broke the established rules of the dress code or conventions, but there were also a few fashion fads that gave room for more formal looks to shine. A case in point is Bottega Veneta’s bespoke gown worn by Ayo Edebiri: The long, body-hugging, sculptural dress from the Resort 2025 collection had the quintessence of Hollywood classics on its own, but covering it with goldfish-like sequins gave it an unexpected twist. The star of the series did the same Yellowjackets Ella Purnell, whose silver Rabanne gown gave the classic slip-on dress a futuristic (and slightly disco) twist. There was also unforgettable jewelry. The star of the series Reservation Dogs Paulina Alexis accented the Chritian Siriano gown with a delicate full-body chain created by designer Joe Big Mountain that accentuated her pregnant belly, and she matched the statement earrings. Jennifer Aniston once again charmed in a glittering Oscar de la Renta gown complemented by Tiffany & Co. archive jewelry. And how were the men? The host of the evening, Dan Levy, shone in a Loewe suit complete with a distinctively sculpted white top – and father Eugene Levy was not far behind in a variation on the classic tuxedo. Bowen Yang went a more contemporary route, opting for a cream Bode suit with an embroidered top.
