Until November 30, automotive policyholders can terminate their previous provider and switch to another insurance company. But it’s worth it?

“Many rates change throughout the year in terms of costs and services,” says the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ). DISQ, on behalf of broadcaster NTV, reviewed the rates and online service of 30 auto insurers.

The result: In the sum of insurance premiums, benefits and online service, the motor insurers achieved a good result. Overall, with 76.1 points, direct insurers achieved a slightly better result than insurers with an intermediate network (72.4 points). Two direct insurers receive a “very good” quality rating.
