Samsung has confirmed that the washer dryer Bespoke AI Laundry Combowith artificial intelligence algorithms and sensors to optimize the laundry cycle, will arrive on the Spanish market starting in Decemberwith a price of 3.499 euros.
Samsung aims to “redefine laundry experiences” by combination of a washer and a dryer in a single appliance that takes up little space, and that manages to increase its interior space without losing functionality.
This appliance uses artificial intelligence algorithms and different sensors to optimize both washing and drying of each load from the hand of functions such as ‘AI Wash & Dry’. With this system, the machine uses the appropriate amount of water and detergent according to the detected weight, which eliminates the user from having to determine the optimal settings for each cycle.
‘AI Wash & Dry’ too detects the fabric and controls the level of dirt during the cycle, adjusts the wash time and, once finished, optimizes the drying process depending on the weight and type of material of the clothing.
The company has also highlighted the energy efficiency. To do this, the washer dryer uses a heat pump drying technologywhich dries clothes at lower temperatures and continuously recycles hot air. This technology also improves air circulation, which prevents fabrics from shrinking and reduces damage that could occur to clothing.
With this technology, the washing cycle is up to 20 percent more efficient than the minimum threshold of energy efficiency class Aand the combination of washing and drying also meets the Class A energy efficiency class certification, according to data provided by Samsung. Furthermore, it contributes to reduce drying time by up to 60 percent and energy consumption up to 75 percent.
Being compatible with the ‘AI Energy Mode’ de SmartThingscan reduce energy expenditure by up to an additional 60 percent in washing and up to 30 percent in drying. This is due, as the company explains, to the reduction in the use of the heater, one of the parts of the washing machine that consumes the most energy.
Likewise, Bespoke AI Laundry Combo incorporates a 7 inch LCD screennamed as ‘AI Home’which serves as a control center for washing and for the entire connected home, offering information such as energy consumption or the remaining amount of detergent. It also has speakers to take specific calls or play music.
After its presentation at the IFA fair in Berlin last year, Bespoke AI Laundry Combo now arrives on the Spanish market. It will do so from Decemberwith a price of 3.499 euros.
