Disinfection of soil in the garden after harvesting
September 22 – NVL. After harvesting, problem areas in the garden can be treated with a cheap product so that in the spring the land is clean and healthy
If you do not treat the soil in the garden against pests in the fall, various phytopathologies cannot be avoided in the spring, writes the Ural Province Zen channel. The author of the publication recommends using a cheap disinfectant from a pharmacy, which will not only disinfect the beds, but also rid the garden of beetles.
We are talking about metronidazole tablets, which can be used not only for medical purposes, but also in gardening. This drug inhibits microbes, fights late blight, all types of rot, cladosporiosis on tomatoes, powdery mildew on cucumbers, zucchini and petunias, fire blight on cabbage, and so on.
The main difficulty is in dissolving the tablets. To treat the soil, a concentrated solution is needed: 500 mg of metronidazole per 1 liter of water. Usually these are two 250 mg tablets. To properly dissolve the medication, take 50 ml of 96 percent alcohol, pour it into a glass container and add the crushed tablets into the same powder. Stir and leave the mixture for a day. This alcohol concentrate is then diluted in 10 liters of water and the soil is treated.
