The Récréations de Vacquiers amateur theater troupe has been offering Vaudeville author shows in the comic register since 1985. For the 2024-2025 season, here is a subtle comedy created in 2007 at the Saint-Georges theater in Paris: The Beautiful Sisters comedy in 3 acts by Eric Assous.
What is a sister-in-law? A piece that must find its place in a tribe. There, there are three of them and none resembles the other. And then, there is the grain of sand which will explode the unsaid, the fantasies, the lies, the pretenses and the couples… It is Talia, Francky’s lovely secretary, that the two other brothers have very well known, she is also invited. There is immediate panic among men and suspicion among women. A hilarious family comedy where lies, rivalries and adultery remind us that men are (in general) rather cowardly, and women (often) ruthless!
