(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, APRIL 17 – A beach ‘free’ from smoke and plastic, accessible even after sunset, illuminated until dawn. And an even longer season on the beach in which the services will be open from Thursday 25 May until Sunday 22 September. This is what is established by the new seaside ordinance of the Municipality of Rimini which sets the provisions for the season now upon us. Its lengthening, the main novelty contained in the document, appears linked to the need to respond to a climate which tends, in general, to offer increasingly higher temperatures and which, also in consideration of the various attractive events, attracts from year to year a growing number of tourists and swimmers on the beaches. In continuity with previous years, during the tourist season, customers must be guaranteed the possibility of staying on the beach and using the services until at least 10pm while access to the beach between 1am and 5am remains prohibited. Furthermore, the beach must be illuminated all night until the morning. Among the confirmations, again, the ‘delivery’ on the sand and the stop to plastic for glasses and crockery and the ban – now in its sixth consecutive year – of smoking on the shoreline. As for umbrellas, the minimum shade limit is set at 15 square metres, while on the animal front, the possibility of swimming in the sea for dogs in the morning, from 6am to 8am, and in the evening, from 6.40pm to 9pm has also been confirmed. Finally, the rescue service will be guaranteed every day until September 22nd from 9.30am to 6.30pm (ANSA).
