L’Alfàs del Pi is the only municipality in the Marina Baixa region recognized by the European Foundation for Environmental Education with the three distinctions that are a symbol of quality, good management and excellence: Blue Flag, Blue Path and Blue Center. These are three quality certificates that position l’Alfàs del Pi among the tourist destinations in Spain that are most respectful of the environment, its conservation and its dissemination.
Racó de l’Albir beach is among the exclusive 10 beaches in all of Spain that have obtained the Blue Flag continuously since 1987. To this badge must be added the Blue Path for the Route to the Lighthouse and another five blue badges for five environmental interpretation centers in the municipality, which are the Faro de l’Albir, Los Carrascos, the old quarry of Serra Gelada, Los Carabineros and the Villa Romana de l’Albir Open Air Museum.
