The BDA | The Federal Association of German Employers’ Associations is the leading social policy organization for the entire German commercial economy. Across sectors, it advocates for the interests of one million companies with around 30.5 million employees at national, European and international levels, which are linked to the BDA through voluntary membership in employers’ associations.
The Labor Law and Collective Bargaining Policy Department of the BDA represents the interests of German employers in all questions of labor law. These include, among other things, the law of establishing, implementing and terminating employment relationships, collective agreement and industrial dispute law as well as the law of works constitution and company co-determination. It coordinates collective bargaining policy developments, analyzes and explains the results of collective bargaining and collective agreements. It accompanies and supports its members in this area.
