Lenovo Tenerife will repeat its presence in the next edition of the Basketball Champions League, as officially confirmed this Friday by the top club competition of FIBA Europe. The Tenerife team earned its presence in the tournament sportingly for another year, after being third in the last Endesa League.
A classic.- It will be the sixth consecutive participation of the aurinegros, who have been present in all editions of the contest, since its foundation, in the 2016-17 season. The Lagunero team was the champion of the first installment of the BCL and also accumulates four other appearances in its final phases: it was runner-up in the tournament in the 2018-19 academic year, in Antwerp; and qualified for the Finals to Eight of Athens and Nizhny Novgorod, falling in quarters in both cases.
Their numbers. The Canarian club is the team with the most official matches in the history of the BCL, equaled by AEK of Athens. Both are listed with 87 games. The people of Tenerife are the group with the most triumphs in the previous five editions, with a total of 65 joys, for the 58 that AEK himself treasures, the 49 of the Czech Nymburk and the 43 of the Turkish Bandirma.
